Sisters of Saint Joseph Center for Spirituality
The Sisters of Saint Joseph Center for Spirituality is the Congregation’s newest sponsored ministry. The Center will serve those who desire to experience God’s love in an atmosphere that fosters wholeness and healing. Our desire is that it will be a dwelling for God’s unioning love.
Applications for the 30-Day Retreat accepted until January 11, 2027.
30-Day Retreat:
Type: 30 Day Ignatian Retreat (also known as the Long Retreat)
Format: The 30-Day Retreat according to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius will be offered at the SSJ Center for Spirituality in Ocean Grove, NJ, from May 27, 2027 to July 2, 2027. This time will include disposition and appropriation days.
It is expected that the applicant has made six or eight-day silent directed retreats and is receiving spiritual direction. For the 2027 year, the SSJ Center will accept a limited number of retreatants.

Retreat in Daily Life:
Type: Retreat in Daily Life (also known as the 19th Annotation)
Format: 19th Annotation - A Virtual Retreat
The 19th Annotation—sometimes called an Ignatian Retreat in Daily Life, follows the entire 30-day Spiritual Exercises retreat. It is adapted to be made during “daily life” without taking a month off from work or studies or family. Retreatants meet once a week with their spiritual director to review their prayer and to receive material for the following week when meeting.
This retreat experience promises to be life-changing in countless ways as retreatants find God and God’s love in all things.
