Via for Organizations

Via: Extending the Ignatian Family

Via is formation for the whole organization. Grounded in Ignatian spirituality, it shapes staff and board members in the charism at the heart of your mission — building community, deepening purpose, and giving your people a shared spiritual language for the work they do together.

We're inviting organizational leaders to bring Via to their communities — whether you're introducing Ignatian formation for the first time or continuing a journey already underway. OIS will provide the full curriculum and support you every step of the way, whether that means equipping an internal leader or connecting you with a dedicated Via Companion.

For Schools

What if Ignatian spirituality wasn't just part of a school's history — but alive in the people who carry it forward every day?

Via forms educators, administrators, and staff in the charism that defines Jesuit and Ignatian education — building a shared language, a deeper sense of purpose, and the spiritual grounding to live the mission from the inside out. Whether a school is newly embracing its Ignatian identity or looking to renew it, Via meets communities where they are.

Retreat Houses

A retreat house is already a place where people come seeking something deeper — Via offers a powerful new way to meet them there.

Via can be offered as a hosted program, giving retreat houses a rich, ready-made curriculum rooted in Ignatian spirituality that welcomes participants from all walks of life — schools, parishes, nonprofits, and other institutions looking for meaningful staff or group formation. It's an opportunity to extend ministry, attract new guests, and position a retreat house as a destination for Ignatian formation.

Staff of Ignatian Institutions

The mission of an Ignatian institution is only as strong as the people entrusted to carry it — and carrying it well requires more than dedication. It requires formation.

Via is designed to form staff more deeply in the Ignatian charism, helping teams move from simply working for the mission to being genuinely shaped by it. Through shared reflection and community, Via builds the kind of organizational culture where the spirit of Ignatius is tangible in how people work, relate, and lead.

Board Formation

Board members set the direction of an institution — and when that institution is Ignatian in its mission, the people guiding it are called to be formed in the spirit that makes it distinctive.

Via offers board members an accessible, meaningful entry point into Ignatian spirituality — deepening understanding of the charism, connecting members more authentically to the mission they serve, and building a sense of shared purpose across the board. Formation at the governance level transforms not just individuals, but the entire direction of an organization.
