The St. Raphaela Center is run by the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is located in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Retreat in Daily Life

  • Type: Retreat in Daily Life (sometimes referred to as the 19th Annotation)

  • Format: IIndividual directed retreat. Retreatants meet once a week with their spiritual director (in-person or online) to review their prayer and to receive material for the following week of prayer. It is expected that the retreatant would set aside 1 hour of prayer a day, plus 15 minutes for the examen at the end of the day.

  • Dates: Beginning September 2026 preferred; some directors are flexible to begin anytime.

  • Location: In-person or Online. In-person meetings will take place at the St. Raphaela Center in Haverford, PA.
