OIS Welcomes Michelle Gomez and Marselys Lucero
The Office of Ignatian Spirituality is pleased to welcome two new staff members: Michelle Gomez to the role of Ignatian Spiritual Direction Initiative Program Coordinator and Marselys Lucero to the role of Via Program Coordinator.
Michelle Gomez began her connection with OIS through participation in the former Magis Program, which she credits for her continued Ignatian formation including completing the 19th Annotation, training as a spiritual director through the program at the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University and in work as a program presenter. She continues her personal efforts to plan and facilitate parent ministry opportunities for Jesuit school parents. Above all, she desires to promote the beauty and openness of the Spiritual Exercises and the spiritual fullness they offer. She lives with her husband in Westchester, NY and has three adult sons.
Michelle may be reached at mgomez@jesuits.org.
Marselys Lucero comes to OIS with a strong theological and pastoral background and experience in both education and spirituality ministries. He knows many of our Jesuit works in the UEA, including a stint working at Regis HS in NYC. What's more, as a former Contemplative Leaders in Action coordinator, Marselys is familiar with OIS and many of the members of our team. He brings professional experience in DEI and serves as the Director of Peace through Justice for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. Marselys lives in Doylestown, PA, with his wife Stephanie Boccuzzi.
Marselys may be reached at mlucero@jesuits.org.
Please join us in welcoming Michelle and Marselys!
