This past April, thirty-two participants from communities in North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland took part in the retreat “Escuchando a Dios como Ignacio,” held at Loyola on the Potomac in Faulkner.

Inspired by the spiritual experience of Ignatius of Loyola, the retreat offered participants a space of silence, prayer, and reflection to deepen their ability to listen to God. Through personal prayer, discernment, and communal sharing, retreatants were invited to recognize God’s presence and voice in the interior movements of the heart and in the concrete experiences of daily life.

This weekend was truly a blessing for all who participated, as they experienced days of grace, encounter, and spiritual renewal in an atmosphere of openness and recollection.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Loyola on the Potomac for their warm hospitality and generous service, which created a prayerful environment conducive to encountering the Lord. We also sincerely thank our collaborator Alicia Angeles for her dedication and accompaniment throughout the retreat.

In a special way, we thank Father Tom Gavin, SJ, who kindly celebrated the Eucharist with us on Sunday, accompanying with joy and gratitude the closing of a weekend filled with blessings.
