Rev. Joe Tetlow, SJ’s Hope for Spiritual Direction

What a happy and holy thing it is for us as spiritual directors to be asked to do this, to walk with pilgrims, and to find that you can understand a way that Ignatian spirituality helps you view this…. that God has not a plan but a project, and you become a beautiful part of that project.

We must never leave off praying….. I think it’s dangerous to offer spiritual direction to someone and not to be praying yourself. I also think that you’re going to find sufferings that you never thought you would face before. You have to accept it; this is where we are doing what Jesus did.
— Rev. Joe Tetlow, SJ, Spiritual Director and Author
